OEM replacement muffler screens are a high quality option for Stihl chainsaws. Most chainsaws sold in North America come with spark arrestor muffler screens (also known as firescreens), to prevent forest fires in dry conditions. This is the first thing to wear out on a muffler. Whether they get plugged up from carbon, or rust out from being heated up, they need to be replaced often. Good to have a couple around the shop.
