Swiss made OEM chainsaw chain from Stihl. Stihl saw chain is made for the most demanding cutting conditions and is loaded with professional features. Stihl chain has Oilomatic drive link lubrication slots, which funnels oil directly to the rivet to reduce wear. Stihl chain is also pre-stretched at the factory, which helps eliminate excess adjustments during break in periods. 36RSLF is part of the Stihl Rapid Super L series, with a skiptooth (full skip) sequence. 36RSLF is a square ground chisel chain. This chain is similar to standard chisel chain, but the grind on the cutter is angled, which makes it the fastest cutting chain available today. This chain is primarily used for falling big softwood trees on the west coast, but many professional cutters use this chain in the eastern hardwood forests also. This chain is designed to cut in clean, green wood, and any dirt or mud will dull it quickly. The square ground cutter design can be difficult to sharpen properly with a file, so many users sharpen this chain with a chisel chain grinder. This chain has no kickback reduction features (See warning below), so it is recommended for professional use only.
