Rock Exotica RockSteel Auto-Lock Steel Carabiner

This Rock Exotica RockSteel Auto-Lock Carabiner offers a surprising strength-to-weight ratio in a carabiner of its capacity. Most steel carabiners are made from 1/2 diameter steel. This is made from a lighter, 7/16” diameter steel that is heat treated for added strength. This results in a 20% lighter carabiner that is rated at 50kN. It uses the Keylock snag-free design and has a larger than normal gate opening. The frame is CNC machined for precise fittings and exact tolerances. It is ANSI Z359.12 (09) and NFPA G compliant. The gate/sleeve is rated at 16kN to protect against inward force against gate.
