I purchased two pairs of Red Dawgs two years ago; one set in black and the other in brown. Like any semi-custom, handmade boot, they're tenuous and difficult to break in. However, the payoff is exponential. I've beaten the tar out of both sets of Red Dawgs, day in and day out over the past two years. The quality of craftsmanship really begins to show how durable the boots are around the two year mark, at least in my humble opinion. At this point, most other makes of off-the-shelf boots start wearing out in the soles, or more adversely, in the leather uppers. Not the Red Dawgs. Even being borderline abusive to the boots, they just take it and ask for more. The Vibram soles are the hardest wearing soles I've ever encountered and back up the construction of the boots very nicely and aptly. I haven't read or heard too many reviews on Red Dawg boots anywhere, so I wanted to give my opinion on these hard working boots and let anyone who may be looking at them know that they're absolutely supreme. 

I can’t believe I’m the first to review these these boots. Hand made in Canada. The quality & construction of these boots are nipping at the heels of brands such as Whites, Viberg, and Nicks, at a lesser price. Better than Red Wing. This has got to be the best kept secret in the logger/work boot world. The break-in period was very short. Comfortable out of the box. Old world craftsmanship & quality. It’ll be a long time before I need another pair of work boots and I hope these are still available next time around. You guys hit it out of the park with these!
