The PCW4000 features a centrifugal clutch that activates when you pull the rope. The more you pull, the more throttle you give. When the tension on the rope is released, the drum stops spinning and the Progress Capture System (PCS) holds the load flawlessly in position. A simple lateral movement is all it takes to disengage the rope, making it easy to secure and easy to release.
This model is powered by the 360° inclinable Honda GX50 4-stroke engine, 49-state compliant, delivering smooth performance and reliability with a remarkable pulling force of 2,200 lb (1,000 kg). By adding a pulley system with two double pulleys, the pulling capacity can be increased up to five times, for a total of 11,000 lb (5,000 kg).
Like all Portable Winch capstan winches, the PCW4000 offers unlimited pulling distance thanks to the capstan principle.
It operates on unleaded gasoline (86 octane or higher) and features a centrifugal clutch with a 76 mm drum diameter. Proudly made in Canada.
Note: The PCS cannot be installed on other pulling winches because those models do not feature a centrifugal clutch. On the PCW4000, the PCS also functions as the throttle, a design that cannot be replicated on direct-shaft winches.
