Professional wood carving discs from King Arthur's Tools. Holy Galahad tungsten carbide discs have virtually replaced flap disc sanders in wood carving. Holy Galahad carbide discs also have patented outer hole patterns, which allow you to "see through" the workpiece you are surfacing. No more stopping and lifting the tool to see your work. Holy Galahad carbide discs are designed to fit 4-1/2" angle grinders with a 7/8" (22mm) bore. Simply attach with the KAT Recessed Univeral Nut and go (King Artur's does not recommend mounting the Lancelot on angle grinders that don't have a constant pressure kill switch for obvious safety reasons). Holy Galahad discs come in 2 different shapes, round and flat, and 4 different color coordinated grit sizes (Purple Extra Coarse Grit, Blue Coarse Grit, Red Medium Grit, Green Fine Grit).

Holey Galahad is a new generation of patented carbide discs with "see through" technology - enabling you to see the form surface behind the disc while you're sculpting. This feature dramatically improves production by allowing you to see just how much foam material you're removing as you sculpt the form surface. You can see what you're doing and where you're going as you work as opposed to the standard procedure of check sculpt lift, check sculpt lift and repeat.
Six (6) models are available in round or flat profiles in coarse medium and fine carbide grits to suit contoured concave and flat surfaces. Holey Galahad discs are quite effective on wood fiberglass plastic solid rubber foam core polyurethane silicone soapstone and other composite materials used in taxidermy. |
