CMI micro pulleys have a multitude of uses, but their primary function is to become a slack tender on a friction hitch. The sideplates swing open to allow placement anywhere on the line. The aluminum cheeks have 7/8" hole for a carabiner. A double lock nut hold everything together on an aluminum axle. The aluminum sheave is 1-1/4" in diameter and held in place by a bronze bushing.
