Important Handle Information: All measurements above are approximate, and can vary slightly from handle to handle, as wood shrinks and swells due to grain structure, moisture content and humidity. Axe handle manufacturing produces a wide variety of handles with different grain patterns and colors. We only offer premium grade handles from top manufacturers, but each wooden handle is a unique product, which will perform in it's own unique way.

Handle Replacement Instructions: To replace a wooden handle, first clean the eye thoroughly. Store the handle overnight in a warm, dry room to ensure dryness. Fit the new handle with a rasp or sandpaper. The handle should be driven tight into head. Saw the handle flush with the head, then drive the aluminum wedge in flush with the head.
