Every Cannon Carving Bar is individually hand crafted by skilled journeymen and put through rigorous quality control checks prior to packaging. Cannon Carvers are constructed with custom alloy steel that is cold rolled, heat treated, annealed, stress relieved and surface ground. This provides the best possible characteristics of wear resistance, strength, durability, straightness and elasticity. The tip is reinforced with a custom cobalt alloy providing even more endurance. This bar has a narrow nose (15/16"), which is about the size of a quarter. This allows you to do detail work, especially with 1/4" pitch carving chains. These bars will also work fine with .325" and 3/8" Low Profile chainsaw chains, but they don't cut as smooth as 1/4" pitch carving chain.
