WoodlandPro 30RP Chainsaw Chain (100' Reel)

Ripping chain is specifically designed to cut efficiently with the grain of the wood, unlike standard saw chain. It is most commonly used to slab logs, burls and stumps. Most people use it with chainsaw powered sawmills such as the Alaskan Sawmill or Beam Machine. Ripping chain gives you a smooth, consistent surface when cutting parallel to the grain of a log. On the contrary, standard saw chain is designed to sever wood across the grain, and when you saw parallel to the grain, your cutting speed falls dramatically, and your sawn surface becomes very rough.

30RP is our most common ripping chain. This ripping chain is used on bars from 16" to 32" long.

A.	Considering that your bar is in good condition, you should be real close to 1/4".

This is a Great chain at a great price !

I am using this chain on a Stihl MS650 with a 36 bar with an Alaskan Mill - This chain is well worth the cost. It is actually the most reasonable priced ripping chain I have found. Just over the weekend I milled a White Oak log that was 24 diameter at the large end and probably 20 at the other - it took less than 5 minutes per cut end to end of a 7'' long log.
