This is a fantastic tool! From heavy duty use to light work, it's a no non-sense tool that performs and doesn't just look pretty. I rolled several 32 inch diameter logs on the stand with no strain to the tool.
As said, it's pretty but it looks much better dirty, in the woods,
being used where it belongs. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

Please excuse me for the length of my review but I have a great deal to say about the Woodchuck Quad.
I'm disabled and having a great deal of free time on my hands so I do free, tree removal, cutting and firewood cutting for families in a 3 county area who other wise could not afford to have it done. some of these families still to this day have dirt floors and cook over open fire-pits and use braziers to heat their homes.
Not having much in the way of extra money myself for equipment (like a lot of folks these days) I demand a great deal from the equipment I do buy. It is not uncommon for me to cut mesquite tree's with trunks larger than 38 inch's thick and limbs over 28 inches thick. I cut oak, ash, pine, willow and mesquite regularly.
If you have never been around large mesquite before let me assure you it's heavier and harder than you would believe.
As I have broken, bent and destroyed more timber jacks, cant hooks, log lifters and log holders over the years, I contacted Woodchuck Tools before acquiring the Woodchuck Quad.
They told me that the Woodchuck was made to be abused. Well I took that as a bit of a challenge.
I have to say that I would buy another Woodchuck Quad in a second, not that I will have to as this thing is going to out last me.
I have used it for logs over the size that it is recommend for, both as a jack and cant hook and it is stable and tough. The log holder function is a back saver that can not be overstated. If you have ever had to spend a good amount of time bent over cutting up logs into firewood your going to love it.
I used it to pry loose floor beams in a friends old barn and several other things that it was never meant to do.
I've not only used it to remove fence posts but it also works great for pulling up shrubs and brush.
It has done everything and more then I would have expected it to do with out any problems.
In short: I took it as a challenge when told it was made to be abused and it has stood up to all I have thrown at it. It's simple and easy to use and switching from one function to the next is fast and easy and if I could not hurt it I do not think you will be able to.

I got the Quad needing a lightweight log lifter and cant hook. My wife and I fulfilled a dream by purchasing a yurt rental business for winter recreation. To provide heat for the guests renting the yurts in winter, we have to cut two cords for each of the two yurts per year. The kicker is they are two miles from the nearest road.
We use frame packs to haul in all the supplies - propane, paper products, white gas, etc.. Strapping the Woodchuck onto one side of the pack and a chainsaw on the other wasn't a hike in the proverbial park, but at 12 pounds, its about the same as the saw, fuel, oil and the saw kit.
Using the Quad is pretty straightforward. The picture instructions are necessary for the first few uses, but then it becomes just common sense. I was able to use all of the functions, and they are incredible. I found a downed aspen, just under 20" in diameter, and after cutting it into 20 foot lengths, the Quad, with some effort, lifted it right up and stable for bucking. The aspen was on a ~20 degree slope, so stable was important. The log holder function is something I never thought of, but logs up to 8" diameter and 20 feet long would hold great, and greatly speed up the bucking. I tried out the post puller at home, and much better than a farm jack.
Some folks on forums really dislike log lifters, 'cause they say they always bend and fail. No way with the Quad. That 20" aspen weighed ~100 pounds per 16" round, and I lifted up 20-25 foot sections on a slope. Nice tool!

Made with American ingenuity, the Woodchuck Quad is a log holder, log lifter, cant hook, and a post remover in one. Stop grounding your chain and elevate your cutting with the Woodchuck. Easily changes from tool to tool in just a few seconds. The Woodchuck Quad is a lighter and more user friendly version of the original Multi Function Woodchuck. weighing in at a super strong 12 lbs. (excluding the chain) the Quad is a efficient Log Jack, Log Roller, Log Holder and Post Remover. Adding to ease of use the log holder self adjusts to the log diameter, while the log lifter will grab and lift up to 20 inches. The 45 inch solid handle and the feet are made out of 6061 solid aluminum, while the laminated hook and toe support are powder coated steel. Chain with Delta Ring and a snap on stabilizer foot (for muddy or uneven terrain) are included. A optional Hitch Post for allowing your log holder to work off your class three reciever hitch is sold separately (#WCP).
