could REALLY use some gaffs w/ a different angle on them. just like Klein and everyone else now, You could make another million if you would sell some angled gaffs! Overall, LOVE THE COMFORT, no one can tough you on that area!! now, engineers, angled gaffs, make more money, we love you.

Wolf Claw climbing spur is by far the best fitting spurs that I have ever worn. Having them on is like having a pair of your favorite sneakers on all day. It makes climbing easier with no pains in the shin and ankle area. I have been climbing now for about 4 years and I won't trade them in for nothing in the world.

I must say that I researched the "shin" complaint and found out that the only way the shin is affected is if you wear them backwards! As for "lower leg restrictions" the same. Check to see if you might be wearing them backward, it is a common mistake with Wolf Claw's. I do major removals in the Wash DC metro area and have been climbing for 28 years, and I have yet to find a more comfortable spike! I do think that work has to be done with the strap's but GREAT INVENTION!!

Well, my two cents is they are not for everyone. I have long legs and I found that when I adjusted them to my size, the inside rails flexed subsequently rubbed against (or at least put pressure on) the shin. I also found that they were a bit restrictive in terms of lower leg movement. They are nice and I think they would be awesome for pole work, but for trees I still prefer my Kleins with Aluminium leg pads.

I have the older Ratchet Style straps on mine. As time has passed the plastic has taken a set and has a permanant curve in it. Makes for difficult donning and doffing.
Also, the pads don't let my skin breath. As a result I get a contact dermititis reaction with hives from the pads. It may also be a latex allergy to the pads.
Everyone who has used them on my crew for climbing thin barked trees also experiences frequent cut-outs. This seems to be more a case of getting used to the angles and fit of the frames, but nobody has been initially happy with them.
So, It takes several weeks of working with them to be confident with them but they are the most comfortable spurs bar-none.

I was in tree all day yesterday and didn't have ankle pains like the Buckingham spurs I used to have. I've been doing tree climbing for 3 years now and have not yet seen such comfortable spur frames! Love them and would recommend them to any professional arbor person.

Wolf Claw has come up with the lightest, most comfortable climbing spurs to date. They are easy-on, easy-off and easily maintained. I've had them on for 5 hours and could've kept going! Circulation is awesome!!
