LogRite 78" Aluminum Handle Mega Hook Cant Hook

The high-visibility handles on these tools are very strong and lightweight. Logrite offers 3 different sizes - 78" (shown here), 60" (CH 060 and XCH 060) and 48" (CH 048) so you can match the cant hook with your job size. They come with heat-treated zinc plated hooks that are built to last. Rubber handle making it easier and more comfortable to hold. The 78" version has a larger hook than standard, to handle logs and cants up to 48" in diameter.

A.	The actual size is pf the hook nigh impossible to measure accurately. However it is 50% bigger than the 60" can't hook. This unit is constructed as a Cant hook. While it is possible to have a peavey point installed it is not recommended from the manufacturer. Due to the length of this unit the cant hook end is safer and more secure than with a peavey end. If you want a long peavey see #PV060. Concerning the pole construction the metal is so thick it doesn't allow insertion of any extra "support" materials. (Hide full answer)

A.	4" to 6" range would be the smallest. If it's that small you may not want to bring out this big unit.

Received my 78" Logrite Cant Hook in good shape. It is heavy duty and would appear to be hard to destroy even if you tried. I had a big pine fall in my yard during a hurricane type wind. Some of the long big pieces would probably be hard to turn over even with 2 or 3 people. I turned them over by myself and I'm 64 years old. The Logrite gives you a lot of leverage. I could have used a 2nd person in some places where I needed to place a wedge under the log, but managed by myself. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to turn over large logs. I'm glad I bought it and think it's worth the price. I would buy the 78" model if you're dealing with big logs.

Run, don't walk, to get one of these

This 6-1/2' cant hook is an outstanding tool. The hook being very big and very sharp makes it easy to get a bite where I want it on a big log. Working alone I can move logs I previously would have had to get out a jack for. No comparison with my 5' hook.
