Q.	With the "strong spring loaded jaws", how do you open the "Brush Grubber" to place on a tree? Thanks.
A.	You grab them from either side of the teeth and push/pull them apart. If the base is butted against something then it's more like pushing down toward the base.

Works, but the BG-08 is a much better unit

I purchased this unit, but before using decided upgrade to the BG-08 model. Great choice. The heavy duty is constructed significantly better. That said, there is no reason why this puller won't work. The BG-08 does a awesome job of pulling buck thorn, box elder and choke cherry. I was using a mini wheel loader (think large skid steer) and it would just pop the brush right out. If you can get the grubber around it, that piece of wood is moving. The loader worked great for this because I could then turn and place all of the stumps on top of each other. Based on my experience, this tool will not work for skidding logs.

I first saw this in a Bailey newsletter a couple of months ago. Well I knew it was a 'gimic' because nothing could work that good. Finally I gave in, probably because it was sold by Bailey and Bailey just does not sell trash. It came in this afternoon and I had to give it a try. My wife and I were astounded. I did a days work in a half hour and it was done far better than I could have by any other means. Those deep roots just came right out and no slipping up the tree, those angled spikes just dig right in deeper. If you have these problem saplings to get rid of, go for it.
