If used this grinder would turn your square chisel into round chisel. There are no grinders that can do both square and round chisel chain. What we do offer is from Silvey. We have the Silvey Pro Sharp, Razursharp II and Swing Arm.

For today's regular saw chain, yes it will. A popular alternate method is to use the Filemate, item 15225, and use it with a flat file when the chain is on your grinder. The later is probably the quicker method for any grinder on the market.

If you are in the market for a chain sharpener, this is a good one. It has an as opposed to a plastic body, an aluminum body. This thing works great, I can sharpen a chain in 3 minutes. It has power and is very quiet. I had order the sharpener somewhere else but I thought I was buying an Oregon cause it had a picture of one. When I got it I was mad it wasn't but it has the same quality even tho I hate Chinese things. This is a great price and a great machine. You can save your saw and time with sharp chains. Dull chain = chainsaw works harder, chain smokes, clutch work over time. Sharp chains are the way to go and this tool keeps them sharp. Its much safer and faster then a hand file. It pays for itself in only about 8-14 sharpening.
