This Granberg grinder has a small rubber/plastic drive belt that wears out occasionally. I purchased a couple from your Laytonville store when it was open and would be interested in acquiring a few more. How do I do this now that you're 100 mail order?

Considering the chain hasn't seen a rock, and it's just a normal sharpening, about 10 or 15 seconds per tooth should do it.

Yes, this will sharpen ripping chain. The only issue with these types of grinders whether your sharpening conventional or ripping chain is the stone. As you use the stone it will lose diameter but, still keep grinding. You have to know when to change the stone.

I have been doing a lot of cutting lately and tired of going (and paying) to get the chains sharpened. I tried using a file but it took a lot of time and produced lousy results. Do these things work for an non-pro?

The bar mounted feature will keep the angles straight and give you a good sharp chain. Another good item 15200 which uses a file but gives the same results manually.

I noticed the description says it includes a 7/32" griding stone. Will this grind a 3/8" pitch chain? Or will I need a different grinding stone? If it does require a different stone, can you tell me which one I'd need to purchase? Thanks!

The 7/32 stone works for all 375 & 404 pitch chain, the 3/16 stone is used on 325 chain, and the 5/32 stone is used on low profile (Picco) & 1/4 pitch chain.

Yes, we sell two type. The standard are item # 46410. We also have the EZE Lap stones (use EZE for the search), which have diamond dust in them and do not loose their shape.
