Professional features for a great price. This helmet system has all the features you require at a great price. Comes complete with 4-point ratchet suspension, front visor shield, and CE certified earmuffs. Both the mesh screen and muffs can be placed in either the up or down position. All parts are interchangeable with Peltor Lumberjack series parts, except helmet suspension. Helmet, facemask and ear hearing protection are CE compliant. Hearing protection (ear muffs) meets ANSI S3.19.

Q.	Will the 6-point ratchet system for some of the other helmets fit this helmet?
A.	This helmet has a 4 point suspension. Suspensions are part of the safety features for impact protection and it is not recommended to substitute the same.

Q.	This helmet system seems very reasonably priced. How does it compare to the other brands you sell in the $30-$60 price range?
A.	In taking a look of that range, you maybe just looking at comfort and longevity of the product. However the Rockman Standard does offer vents out the top and a higher peak than the Oregon helmet that has a few vent holes.

Figured Out A Fix

I did something I never do online, I bought without reading any reviews. Afterall, it's Bailey's, and everything I have bought fromn them has been quality. When this helmet arrived I could not get the visor to stay attached so only then did I look for a picture at Bailey's site and stumbled on the reviews. Using something I read in the reviews, I took the screws meant for attaching the rain shield to the visor and instead drilled out the visor attachment points and screwed it together. I think this will work fine but it's ironic they provide screws to hold a flimsy piece of plastic sheeting, but only rubber gromets to hold the heavy visor. I bought cheap because I just a weekend tree cutter but Bailey's might do better not to carry anything this sorry.

Having owned Husky and Sthil helmets that lasted fine for chipping and stumpgrinding I assumed there was no need to spend a bunch of money on such a simple piece of equipment. Wrong. First off you need to assemble everything. Ok no big deal. Secondly, everywhere it snaps together it continuiously comes apart; The earmuff to the helmet, the visor to the earmuffs, ect.I ended up putting screws into the earmuff so mostly the shield flaps open on one side or the other. Thirdly the adjuster knob broke off in the gentle confines of my truck so I had to get a ziptie and fix the size for my head. Fourthly since the padding from the earmuffs came off so many times it won't stay so I had to duct tape it on. I question why a outfit like Baileys would stock such a item.

Weired Shaped Head

Good value for face shield & ear muffs, however throw the hard hat out as you need a small head with a large back shelf for this hard hat to be anywere near comfortable. Works well on MSA hard hats, although muffs fall off easily. RECYCLE THE HARD HAT (PIECE OF JUNK)!
