Pferd ChainSharp Filing Guide (5/32")

The Pferd Chain Sharp allows you to sharpen your chain cutter and maintain the height of your depth gauge in one operation, without removing the chain from the bar. Built-in angles and guides ensure proper filing technique for easy, professional results regardless of experience level. The tool uses standard round files and a special depth gauge file. After the left teeth are sharpened, the files may be reversed to sharpen the right teeth. For this reason, avid filers may want to purchase two units. The height of the raker is maintained in proportion to tooth wear. Comes complete with one 5/32" round file and one depth gauge file, packaged in a plastic case, with full instructions. The 5/32" model works on all 3/8" low profile (picco) pitch chains. Works on full comp chain only.

Q.	Will this work for stihl 61 PMMC3 44 (Picco Chain).
A.	Yes, the 5/32 file on this setup will work with that Picco (Low profile .375) chain.

Q.	I bought a replacement chain from Home Depot, Power Care Y57, will this product work with this chain?
A.	Yes, the Pfred 5/32 Chain Sharp file guide will work handily with your Y57 chainsaw chain.

I'm on about my 4th or 5th sharpening gizmo with the Chain Sharp, and I think I've finally found what I'm looking for. Fast and easy to use. Flipping the tool from left to right takes just seconds with a little practice. I will be ordering another to fit my small saws.

Bought this product after trying many of the current sharpeners on the market and not being really happy with any of them. EASY TO USE!! Instructions are plain and simple. Very, Very happy with this product. This guide uses 2 files. One round 5/32 for sharpening chisel, a second flat file lowers the corresponding depth gauge to the proper height. Not rocket science, but it really works well. Since I have used this product, I don't need to force the blade through the wood, it cuts smooth and straight with very little effort on my part. Nice wood chips, not saw dust. Highly reccomend this product for anyone who wants a sharp chain and has 15-20 minutes to spare to sharpen his/her chain.

Best Chain Saw File
