5/8" x 12' Wire Core Flipline System

This flipline system comes complete with a rope grab bolted on, ready to go out of the bag. Your adjustment is right at your saddle, and you have the safety of a wire core flipline if you are running a saw. Comes complete with triplelock carabiner and swivel snap. Each flipline is individually tested and labeled. Very competitively priced!

Q.	I am not familiar with the "rope grab" mentioned in the description. I climbed conifers for the Forest Service for a decade using flip rope adjusting knots (prusik). Can you describe how the rope grab works? Thanks
A.	If you look at item 85505 (the grab) you'll have a better picture. But the wire acts as a spring that keeps the grooved surface of the cam off the rope. As soon as you put tension on the lanyard the grooves in the cam clamp down on the rope and hold it fast. As soon as you release tension the spring ... As soon as you put tension on the lanyard the grooves in the cam clamp down on the rope and hold it fast. As soon as you release tension the spring releases the cam off the rope and the lanyard is free to move through the grab to lengthen or shorten. Same basic principal as the prusik, but it is a automatic mechanical process that free up one hand. (Hide full answer)
