How would the warranty work for me in AK could I have it worked on by a local chainsaw dealer or would I need to send it outside which is very expensive ?

Yes, I can see where that would be a tough decision. I looked and I couldn't see any Solo dealers listed for Alaska. Your local guy could take care of it. We would cover the parts but, you would have to take care of the labor. We certainly like to make sales but, this decision would be up to you.

Hello, My father is interested in this saw, but wants a 16" bar. He doesn't want to buy it with a 20" and then buy a 16" bar and chain also. Is it possible to order this saw with a 16" bar and chain? Thanks

I'm sorry to say that the 651 comes pre-packaged with the 20". We only have bar and chain options on larger saws that we sell powerhead ony.

That pay method and shipping is no problem. There is a considerable difference between your 61 and the 651. It might not sound like much but, the 61 has 10cc's more displacement.

Some milling would be fine. The bigger the motor the better when it comes to milling as it is the most stressful thing you can do with any saw. As with any size saw you always want to see good size chips, and if you don't see chips stop milling and sharpen/change the chain. This will keep your saw r

Some milling would be fine. The bigger the motor the better when it comes to milling as it is the most stressful thing you can do with any saw. As with any size saw you always want to see good size chips, and if you don't see chips stop milling and sharpen/change the chain. This will keep your saw running cooler. If you are burning the wood or forcing the cut then the chain is dull and the saw will heat up. I have a 20" bar&chain (oregon) on an EFCO 165; can I use this on the Solo 651?

Looks like the mount on the EFCO 165 and the Solo 651 are the same, however the EFCO is set up for 3/8 pitch and the Solo is .325. The bar would fit, but unless the sprocket is correct the chain won't run properly and ruin your drive sprocket. Bottom line - Verify the pitches of your saws first.

Yes, any reputable brand of 2 cycle mix done 50:1 would work in your Solo 651 chainsaw.
