With 5 times the strength of steel on an equal weight basis, these lightweight Kevlar construction helmets offer excellent protection and comfort. Q.	So the Peltor screen and muff system for the Vertex work well with this helmet?
A.	Yes, the Peltor screen & ear muffs work on the Pacific. At one time the design of the Pacific didn't allow for the screen to move up, but we sell the new design which allow full function of the Peltor components.

Q.	I've had 2 of these helmets and find them the best available for climbing arborists. The sticker on the inside of the helmet reads ANSI Z891.1.... As far as I can tell this standard does not exist. In British Columbia we are required to have hard hats comply to Z89.1 (not Z891.1). I assume, then, that the extra "1" is a typo on the sticker. Can someone please tell me whether they can confirm this. I would like to order more of these for my crew, but want to make sure I am following our WCB safety guideline.
A.	I just contacted the distributor in this and they assert that the ANSI info is correctly listed on the website. Which is ANSI Z89.1. Not sure where you are seeing the Z891.1. If it is printed, then yes, it was a typo.

These hard hats are great. We went to the Vertex- Petzl a few years ago and these are better and lighter weight for what we do. The brim is safer for chainsaw work and helps with sun and rain. definitely pricey but well worth the cost. It gets people to want to wear PPE. The straps take a little getting used to but are crucial to function.
