Oregon Forestry Helmet System

Oregon is famous for professional chainsaw bars and chain, now they have designed a helmet system with those same customers in mind. Light and ventilated this helmet is made of high impact resistant ABS plastic. In inclimate weather there are special gutters to direct the rain away and off. Hot days, the sweatband will keep your eyes clear and the sun peak will shade them. The stainless steel mesh screen is on a ratchet system and will hold when you lift it up for your critical looks. The ear muffs are rated at a NRR value of 23db and have air flow control technology for optimum and consistent noise attenuation and enhanced communication. The ear cushions are replaceable and snap in easily. Holding the entire unit on your head is a 6 point suspension with ratcheting adjustment.

Meets the Following Standards: Screen Z87.1-2003; Ear Muffs CE EN352; Helmet ANSI Z89.1-2003 Type 1 Class C.

Q.	I have a huge 7 7\8 head size (XXL). Will it fit me?
A.	This suspension has a ratchet system that opens up quite large. We don't have exact specs, but based on experience it should fit your noggin' no problem.

Oregon needs to stick to bars and chains. The plastic tab on the ear muff was broke right out of the box so I can't even use the helmet until I get a new one, the face screen is attached to helmet with a piece of plactic and probably won't last during the cold winter, the overall fit and comfort is not very good. I should have stayed with a peltor helmet, 18 years and never a problem

The very first time I used the helmet the adjustment knob broke so I was the only who could ever use it then the ear muff broke. I recommend to anyone who wants a working product buy a Rockman. I have got one for everyone on my staff.

Junk out of the box

I wore the helmet once and the metal that connects to the earmuffs broke right out of the box. The other issue I have with the helmet is that the adjustable head band is made of cheap soft plastic. The plastic that connects the face screen to the helmet is also made of soft plastic. I expect the gear I wear to work to be much more rugged then this. Even though the helmet I received could have been faulty, I still would not recommend this helmet to a friend.

Overall a good value. comfortable with good air flow. Have been using it for a few months now. Earmuff holders seem weak when you flip muff up and down. but they are holding up so far. Also note the rain/neck shield IS NOT included with helmet. It is stated in the paper work that comes with helmet, you must purchase separately if interested.
