If you are looking for all metal with a decades long track record and great reviews see item # 15200 from Granberg. It's been on the market forever and it does the exact same thing. Regardless of which one you choose these are one of the best tools to have around because they give as good as results as any powered unit, or better, for a fraction of the price.

6" depth gauge file would be recommended. The Oregon brand part number is ORF 11221.

I have used this guide since the early 70's and they last along time. My first one (it was red) finally just fell apart after many many years of use. they are stong and durable. They are easy to use and not hard on the hands. It is my preferred guide. Larry

I have been using the Oregon sharpener for about 25 years and I think they are the best. They last a very long time. I have a crew of 7 guys and they all seem to learn how to use it very quickly. Like any tool you have to learn the tricks to get the most out of it. Thanks.
