Greetings - The peak of the thread is 2-3/8", and the valley of the thread is 2-9/16. Of note, if you are trying to put this on anything but the CARB style No Spill it is very unlikely to fit as a primary hurdle to be CARB approved is to prove that the nozzle will not fit non-CARB containers both by

The standard spout is 7-1/2" long with the widest part on the tube being 1-1/2" and tapering down to 7/8 where the gas comes out. The spout extension is 6" and 7/8" interior diameter where it connects with the standard spout.

No, the nozzles do not interchange. We have tried that too.

Replacement nozzle for the No-Spill gas cans. Always good to have extra in case you get some sawdust in your nozzle.
