Do I also need the mill in order to produce slabs from a log? Or can I just lie my logs on the ground and use the slabber to produce a finished plank. If I can what is the max size log I can slab and do I need any extras to do this? Kind regards Phil Perkins.

The DS8 16B Dedicated Slabber cosists of the Slabber Mill and the tracks. The logs always sit on the ground. It can produce slabs up to 20" thick and 60" wide. There is also an option that will accept up to 74" width.

The maximum thickness of this machine is 60". There is another special order slabber, that we do not normally carry, that can do 74". However, it does not have all the features of this machine. Please give us a call if you are interested in either and we can discuss them in more detail.

The chain that is used is a "super skip" type like Oregon 27RX and this unit takes 190 drive links of that.
