Ordered and installed this kit on a 365 Husky. Quality was good for the price, not great, but acceptable for a $99 kit. I paid $89 during a ten percent off promotion. The shipping seemed high at $13 for a light, small part shipped by the slowest means. Ring tension was less than expected, but saw has good compression. Time will tell. I would probably order the Meteor cylinder kit for a saw that is otherwise in great shape, I think the Italians have better quality control than the far east. My saw was a beater, spare part assembly, which is why I went the cheap route. My only complaints are shipping costs and time. I know UPS ground is slow, but I think shipments take a while to leave Baileys warehouse. Tracking number was sent out before item was shipped giving the impression part was in route. It may be that other internet sellers have spoiled me with fast, efficient shipping options at a good price.

Like an earlier review posted here in in April 09. In March/April I had totally rebuilt a 372xp and used this piston kit, when saw was finished it would not fire. With spring approaching I set the saw to the side, this fall I took it to dealer who told me it had only 75lbs. compression. Luckily, I went back here to Bailey's and viewed the previous review about wrong rings so I called Bailey's the service tech said he never heard of this kit sent with the 50mm rings before but sent me out the 52mm rings at no charge. Works great now.

I purchased one of these big bore kits to put on my 372xp last year when I noticed my old saw was slowly losing compression. The kit arrived and everything looked fine. Since I'd never done a BB upgrade I had my saw mechanic do it. He got it done, tuned the saw and I was thrilled with the power increase. Unfortunately, the rings exploded and scored the piston and cylinder just a couple weeks later. I contacted Bailey's and they sent out a new kit under warranty. I put this one in myself with no troube. Less than 6 weeks later the same thing happened, the rings just exploded in the cylinder. I contacted Bailey's again....they were concerned (so was I). They said some kits had gone out with the wrong rings and sent another one with the correct rings. You'll never guess what happened....yep, a 3rd one went. I was pulling my hair out. I ended up ordering JUST the piston and 52mm rings to use with an old 52mm cylinder I had leftover from another project. I figured that if I was gonna have to replace the piston/rings every 6 weeks or so I could save money by just buying the piston/rings and reusing the same cylinder. Well, 6+ months later the saw is still screaming! I don't know what was wrong with the piston/cylinder combo but the piston and 52mm rings bought alone work just fine. I love Bailey's but this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth...I'd say buy the piston/rings w/out the kit or just go OEM. Save the hassle. // Bailey's Note: The ring issue has been addressed.

Just put this kit into my old 1998 2065 Jonsered, taking the cc's from 65 to the kit size of 77 cc's. This kit works great ! Everything bolted right into place and the saw now has far more power than before. Back with the old cylinder, when running my 28 inch bar the saw would bog down some, especially on those big old hardwoods (red/white oak, hickory, hard maple, etc), not any more. This is like having a new saw. Thanks to Baileys for quality products and great customer service to answer any questions !!

After having to replace the entire crank (bearing blew apart sending shards into the housing & piston) I decided to go big bore... I wasn't disappointed either!!! That is, after I got some great support from the tech guy who helped me trouble shoot a compression problem... OEM rings had been sent with the kit, and he had the big bore rings sent ASAP! I think the old 372XP runs as hard as my 575XP now!!! Thanks for keeping my old saws alive Baileys!!!

I bought this kit to repair my scored cylinder on my 365 special. It's a whole new saw now. More power than ever before. I'm very happy with the results and the price. Thank you, Bailey's!
