Greetings - No, they are not made in the USA. To our knowledge there are no ANSI Z89.1-2003, Type 1, Class C metal hats made in the USA at this time. They all come from overseas.

This hat is very light, very comfortable, and the suspension is first rate. It has a wide leather-like brow piece that is stitched in place along the bottom edge and loose at the top. It is cut tightly, almost too small but this keeps the plastic part of the band away from your skin. You can snug the adjuster up for a good firm fit with out the usual tight feeling most hats have and it will stay in place very well. Once warmed up you'll forget you're wearing it. The adjustment mechanism is a knob style and works smoothly and has positive click stops. It has clip slots for ear muffs. It fits my Peltors but because the rolled rim blocks the bottom of the slot some brands of muff may not fit. They are made of good thick aluminum, fit well and are tightly riveted to the hat. I bought the orange one. It is NOT painted - it has a powder coating and very thick too. It should last a long time.
