I would like to know if the Red Dawg safety toe boots comes in black?
|
| A. |
Sorry, these boots are only available in brown. However, I would encourage you to look at the new Hoffman boots we are featuring. The Dri-Line comes in black with or without a steel toe. Just enter 10STDL into the search box at the top of the page.

I have some of your steel toe Red Dog boots. I have to wear electrical hazard boots, do they have this rating. If not do you have any that do have the electrical rating. Ben Harper - I really like these boots, best I've ever worn!
|
| A. |
Greetings - Unfortunately these are not EH rated. We do sell Electrical Hazard rated boots by Hoffman. Their Dri-Line boots are item # 10STDL for the 10" or 16STDL for the 16". Those are EH rated as well as OSHA.

Good morning, are these boots insulated? Do they run true to size for US made boots? I heard they were made in Canada and I would need to order them a 1/2 size smaller than a US made boot. Thanks,

Greetings - They are made in Canada and depending on what brand you use normally thay can run large, especially to those made overseas. They are sized to USA standards but other factories, which are usually overseas, can run a bit small. Compared to the Hoffman boots for example, which are made in the USA, they are sized the same. Wear them inside your home and decide if they are the correct fit. If they are not we can always exchange if they are are still new. (Hide full answer)

The sizes on our Red Dawg boots run true to the corresponding shoe die. Compared to some brands that don't run true they can run larger.

Waterproof, Yes or No?
|
| A. |
No, they are leather with no special liner. However you could add some of Obenauf's boot grease to help shed the water, but you can't wade in them like boots that say waterproof.

| Q. |
Can these boots also be used as climbing boots along with ground work? and are they insulated for cold weather?
|
| A. |
Though these are great work boots, "climbing boots" have an added support in the arch where the arborists foot rests in the gaff cradle. Frankly, using non "climbing boots" it wouldn't take long until you felt that difference while in a tree.
