Red Dawg Boots- Black Leather Lace-To-Toe Vibram

We’ve had numerous requests over the years for a high-quality black leather boot. We’d like to thank you for your patience and let you know the wait is finally over! These 12" tall, black logger tan leather, hand-made Vibram sole boots are built to the same quality standards you’ve come to expect from Bailey’s. They feature Goodyear welt construction, abrasion resistant Kevlar upper stitching, double leather on vamps, solid leather insoles, double mid soles and a comfortable rolled, padded top band. You also get Vibram 100 lug soles with brass eyelets and studs, a ribbed steel shank for arch support and an extra-firm heel counter.

Sizes: 8-12 (half sizes in between)Available in “D” and “EE" widths. This boot is also available in size 13D. NOTES: Does not include steel toe.Warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days.

Q.	Are these boots waterproof? Also, what type of laces do they take - red or yellow.
A.	No, they are not waterproof, but a good layer of wax makes them water resistant. They are a red-brown color.

Q.	does this boot or any other "climber boot" come in size 14.
A.	We do carry a tall boot that runs up to size 15 (#26040). It does have a heavy duty shank, but it is more of a cold weather boot. Take a peek and see if it suits your needs.

Q.	Do these boots have any sort of lining e.g. Gor tex or thinsulate?
A.	No, they don't offer Gore Tex or Thinsulate. Many use the Obenauf oil or wax. Search using WATERPROOF BOOTS to see our whole line.

Q.	Can these boots have black laces?
A.	We do sell "KEVLAR LACES" but they are for 10" boots. These can be purchased separately.

Q.	I like the way these boots look but i have to have steel toed boots for work. Do they make them with steel toes and if not will they?
A.	At this time this black style does not come in steel toe. We do sell the brown version of the Red Dawg in steel toe, see item 53803. Or use search "Steel Toe" and you will find some of similar design to these in different brands.

Q.	These boots are not Gore-Tex. How "waterproof" are they?
A.	Greetings - The FAQ that said "yes" to them being waterproof was incorrect and has been fixed. They are pure leather and can be water resistant at best with a good layer of wax.

A.	Precise weight depends on size but they average about 6 lbs a pair.

Great for breaking brush

I work on a type II fire/fuel reduction crew. A friend told me in February about Red Dawgs and I decided to give them a try mostly because of the lower price vs competing boots (ie: White's). I have yet to regret buying your boots. We have logged a lot of hiking miles in steep, rocky, even muddy terrain and my feet couldn't be happier. The break-in period was about 7 days compared to other guys who complain about their boots taking up to 4 weeks. Thanks for making a great boot and keep doing the good work.
