No, they are not waterproof, but a good layer of wax makes them water resistant. They are a red-brown color.

We do carry a tall boot that runs up to size 15 (#26040). It does have a heavy duty shank, but it is more of a cold weather boot. Take a peek and see if it suits your needs.

We do sell "KEVLAR LACES" but they are for 10" boots. These can be purchased separately.

At this time this black style does not come in steel toe. We do sell the brown version of the Red Dawg in steel toe, see item 53803. Or use search "Steel Toe" and you will find some of similar design to these in different brands.

I work on a type II fire/fuel reduction crew. A friend told me in February about Red Dawgs and I decided to give them a try mostly because of the lower price vs competing boots (ie: White's). I have yet to regret buying your boots. We have logged a lot of hiking miles in steep, rocky, even muddy terrain and my feet couldn't be happier.
