I have an older chain saw helmet that is equipped with a Peltor face shield with "V 1a" stamped on it?
|
| A. |
Ours is a V1a also, so it should fit fine.

| Q. |
Will this screen fit item 35710? Thanks
|
| A. |
Yes, they will. However, they clamp onto the Ear Muffs (item # 35717) so you would need to purchase both items for the screen to attach.

| Q. |
I have a Peltor helmet wth the face screen and ear muffs. I took it to my local Husky dealer and he said I need a four point suspension. I have the screen but lost the hinges. The screen and helmet are about ten years old but are like brand new. Do you have the hinges seperate or do you have a whole screen kit. They used to have a plastic shield kit also. Do you still have these items in stock?
|
| A. |
On todays models (6 point suspension) the screen attaches to the ear muffs (item 35717). We can still special order the 4 point suspension at the time of this FAQ, item 35818.

| Q. |
I bought your 35715 Peltor mask and it fit onto my older peltor 4 -point helmet with no problems and will order another one for posterity. I had lost the original mask and the new one buttoned right up to it. The old helmet was as good as new just like the day I received it as a gift about 12+ years ago. Thanks Bailey''s for helping restore my favorite logging helmet.

| Q. |
Will this fit a G2001C Peltor Helmet? This helmet also has the visor attached to the hearing protection, but the hinge mechanism on the visor is a friction system rather than what appears to be a hinge in the pictures.
|
| A. |
This Peltor Replacement Metal Screen (V1A) will fit the G2001C Peltor Helmet. The V1A will come with a linkage kit and you will detach the old one and then attach the new one right to the hearing protectors.

My old Jonsered's Peltor has a V1b screen attached to a Peltor 770122-1 mount. Will your 35715 replace my broken old screen on this mount?

Officially the Peltor part number that we carry is the V1A. In comparing that with the V1B on their website, I can't see any difference and they attach the same. The only difference is the picture they have for the V1A you can't quite see the tiny holes across the brow, but you can see them in the picture on our site. The V1B clearly has them pictured on the 3M site. The screen should attach to your ear muffs. (Hide full answer)
