It is a nylon mesh. Believe it or not it is every bit at tough as the metal versions, most feedback is that this will last longer.

This Standard Rockman Helmet will accept the 6 point suspension. I'm told the new helmets will all be carrying that from here on out - 12/13/10

The Rockman Premium does come with the 6 point suspension. The Rockman Standard comes with the 4 point one, but it can accept the 6 point replacement (#2006D) as the inside of the helmet has the required attachment points.

This particular model has been discontinued in favor of the new Rockman 2706 FND which does have the 6 point system.
