Good Rigging Control System Lowering Device

Developed by arborist Greg Good, the GRCS is the ultimate lowering device. The GRCS uses a powerful Harken winch that features a unique 2-speed gearing system, which can give the operator a 44:1 lifting ratio. The winch system is detachable, so mounting the bracket on the tree is a much easier task. Comes complete with an aluminum rope brake. Once you see one of these devices in action, you won't try a takedown job with anything else. If you are at all interested, take a look at our video (#21416), it will answer most all of your questions. Accepts lowering lines from 1/2" to 3/4".

Q.	Does the spool turn when you are lowering limbs or are you using friction on the spool to lower?

Q.	Harken's web site lists the max line diameter at 9/16" on the same winch. Your descrition lists up to 3/4" line. Why the big difference? Are the drums the same?
A.	The springs in the self tailing device have been modified. The drums are the same.
