Q.	Can you name all the trees that are in this guide?
A.	There are 47 North American trees, common and latin names are given, and even more are referenced. If you want more specifics give us a call.

Q.	I am looking for a book with colored pictures of tree bark to help identify types of trees. Would this book do the trick.
A.	You can see the colored bark close up image on these cards. This is the best visual tree identification resource we have.

regional field guides needed

this guide is great if you want an overview of the most common trees in the U.S.. The information and presentation of each tree is really good. It would be better if the this FIELD GUIDE were more regional specific... in that it would be about the same size yet include the more common trees for each region. This could be a great guide if they would just expand the trees covered and release regional versions of this "field guide". I would have easily purchased a few of these per region, but the rough overview of the most "common" trees in the US is hardly worth putting to a "field guide".

I like the concept of having a tree guide showing the trees leaf pattern, bark, & fruit. My problem with this guide is it stops short of what I needed to teach kids about forestry. It's not enough to ID red oak or white oak, I was hoping for more than 2 examples of oak. Likewise, only white ash was covered in this guide. This product will suffice for a grade school 4-H project, but anything deeper than that you better get a more detailed book. Problem with the more detailed guide books on the market today is a lack of good winter photos to teach tree bark ID with.
