Mini-Piggy Oil-Gas Container

Q.	Does this container fulfill the class IB material requirements for container storage of flammable liquids? OSHA 1910.106 (d)(2)(iii) it says that we cannot use a container of no more then 1 gallon capacity for a Class lA or lB for flammable liquids.

Q.	While filling the container with mix fuel or bar oil can you see through the plastic enough to tell when it's almost full or is the plastic such that you can''t tell without looking through the spout port?
A.	The plastic is too thick to see the fluid level from outside.

Q.	Is there a CARB compliant version of this oil-gas container? If not, there should be!
A.	Yes, we agree. However, at this point there is no oil-gas container on the market that is CARB compliant, anywhere! If one ever is, be sure that we would carry it.

Q.	Your sales catalog states that the Mini-Piggy Oil-Gas Container is not available in several states and select counties in Virginia. I live in Prince Edward County, in Virginia. Can I please purchase one of these wonderful gas cans?
A.	Sorry, but we cannot ship to your county. Soon we will have item # 85310, which is the CARB approved version of this product.

Q.	I ordered three of these containers, one for me to replace an old one, one for a brother, and one for my BIL, because I've had one for several years and wouldn't be without one. One complaint is there is no caps for the fill spout, have to either reverse the spouts to close and then the one in the chain oil side gets really messy, or come up with something to cap the spout, a real inconvenience and I haven't been able to find replacement spouts that will fit. Do you have anything that will rectify this?
A.	Item 17017 is the stopper and caps kit. And just an FYI for those out there who love this unit: they are no longer being manufactured! We have 83 at the time of this FAQ and they probably will not last but a couple weeks at most. After that only the Carb Approved version will be available.

Q.	You are correct, 17017 is the cap for this container, it has the cover that goes under the spout and the ring that holds the spout to the threaded part of the container, the small cap with the ring is the cover for the vent. There are no covers for the end of the tubes, they have to be taken off the can and reversed in the ring that holds the spout to the container along with the round cover. That is really inconvenient when in the woods. I am looking for a cap to cover the end of the spout after I refill the saw so I don't have to reverse the spout and stick it back into the container and get it covered with bar oil.
A.	Then you need the 17013. It's the spout with a plastic top that screws onto the tip. It's aftermarket but made for the old style Mini-Piggy. There are two left of what is also a discontinued item.
