| Q. |
What type of bit do you use to moke the mortises for the tenon maker.
|
| A. |
Most people use Forstner bits. You could also use a holesaw but, you have to knock the plug out when you're done drilling.

| Q. |
How large diameter logs can I put in the 2 and 3/4 inch guide? Do you sell the Logman Tennon maker 2 that has a 3" capacity?
|
| A. |
The largest diameter is 4" that can fit into the guide, if you hand taper the end so it will fit in the 2-3/4" guide. We can special order the Tenon Maker II which offers the 3" guide. In approximately 3 months the the Tenon Maker III should be available which can do 4" tenons.

| Q. |
I'm planning on purchasing the Logman Tenon Maker but I also need to purchase a router. Is there a minimum HP rating for this product. I'm sure bigger is better, but is there a rating that I shouldn't go below. I plan on using this on Eastern Red Cedar, which is a relatively soft wood.
|
| A. |
We recommend a minimum 2.0 HP variable speed router.
