Q.	For your Danner 8 rain forest boots I was wondering how resistant they would be in the conditions of a wildfire fighter? I know that Red dawg and Hoffman have boots specialized for that but I was wondering if these boots could stand up to the hot ash as well as the other two?
A.	The Smoke Chaser from Hoffman has fire resistant insulation and soles. This model Danner is not designed with any fire-fighting features.

Q.	I was just wondering how this boot would compare to the boot that i own now. I currently wear the Workman non safety toe and i love it. I work in the concrete and asphault field but wouldnt even think about putting this nice of a boot in asphault. i am concidering this boot because of where it is made and the features it has. I was just wondering how it would compare. Thanx.
A.	Pretty close to the same, but your boot has 57 oz of material while this boot has 69 oz, so it is heavier duty construction.
