NWP Big Bore Piston Assembly (52mm) for Stihl 044, MS 440 Chainsaws

Replacement piston assembly from NWP. Piston assembly includes a piston, rings, piston pin and circlips. These pistons have a thin coat of molybdenum on the piston which helps reduces friction and wear during initial break in period. The piston rings are ductile iron, so your chances of breaking them during installation are greatly reduced. Gaskets are sold separately. We recommend replacing your cylinder gaskets and using a piston ring clamp set to help when changing a piston. This piston fits 044 Big Bore cylinders only. Made in Taiwan

Our factory does several quality control checks to ensure that these kits are made to O.E.M. specifications and components are top quality. However, because of the nature of piston kits, we cannot guarantee that replacing your chain saw piston will solve your saw problems. Proper installation is critical, and should be done by a trained chain saw mechanic to O.E.M. specifications. Remember, 99% of all piston failures are due to operator error, which includes incorrect carburetor settings, incorrect fuel mixture or improper air filter maintenance.
