Oregon 24" Chainsaw Chain Loop (72JGX-84 Drive Links)

72JGX is the skiptooth version of 72LGX. This chain is very popular on bars 24" and longer. Round chisel cutters work well in both softwoods and hardwoods. 72JGX works best in clean cutting conditions, where there is limited contact with dirt and other abrasive materials. Chain is .375 pitch, .050 (1.3mm) gauge. 72JGX fits saws using WoodlandPRO 30 series and Stihl 33 series chain. 72JGX chain sharpens with a 7/32" round file or 3/16" grinding wheel.

Fantastic Chain

I really like the LGX/JGX series chain from Oregon. I have been using both and the cutters hold their edge for a long time and take an edge from a file very well. I have cut up to 5 tanks with the saw before I had to resharpen. I cut in abrasive conditions that don't often lend themselves to long cutter life. These chains just flat out chew up the wood. I have since sold off all other chain I had and am planning on purchasing nothing else but this series chain. A side not watch out you can get these cutters very sharp I ended up with 5 stitches in my right index finger knuckle because a file slipped and I hit my newly sharpened cutter. Wear gloves when sharpening, I know I will be from now on.
