The angle of the Gator teeth redirects the air flow to keep the clipping directly in front of the cutting edge. The longer the clippings remain in front of the cutting edge, the finer the size of the clipping. The result is less bagging, less raking and quicker decomposition. These blades work extremely well in the fall for mulching leaves also. All Gator Mulcher blades are thru-hardened to a Rockwell C-scale hardness of 50 for optimum safety and durability, then individually straightened for a precision cut. Blades can be sharpened like any standard mower blade. Gator Mulcher blades are made in the U.S.A.

What about wet grass?

Q.	Your 21 3/8" Gator Mulcher 3 in 1 Hi-Lift Mower Blade (7/8 Star hole) for John Deere 42"mowers appears to be the right blade for my John Deere SST16 42" mower - your numbers match John Deere's numbers for my blade. However, John Deer states that there is a right and a left blade. Your page on the blade doesn't mention this. In addition, John Deere's specs call for an 11/16 hole. Is this the correct blade for my machine? Thanks Charles Stone
A.	For the 11/16 center hole you need item # OEP 92676. The above blade will not work as the center hole is 7/8".

A.	This should work for both sides for the John Deere 42". Right and left is not indicated.

Q.	We have a LA100, which shows all he same specs you have listed, but the LA100 is shown as a tractor for this blade.
A.	The specs I see are the same except this blade is a star hole and the ones I have listed for the 100 series have 3 holes and the center hole is 11/16".

Q.	Is the price for 2 blades or do I need to order quanity of 2 ?
A.	All mower blades are sold singly. If you require 2 blades for your machine you will need to order quantity of 2.

Q.	Does this work on the LA105 42 mower deck?
A.	Yes, it appears that it will, however a better exact fit would be OEP 92615.

Big improvement over my old blades

Thank you for getting my new lawn mower blade here so fast! I broke the old one by hitting a large rock in my yard. This new blade is amazing and is a big improvement over the old one. It slices through wet grass without even so much as a hiccup! Your web site was well organized and informative. The clear descriptions of each blade enabled me to find the exact one that I needed! Thanks again!

Mulching Blades

I was using regular mower blades until I ordered these Gator Mulcher blades. The Gator Mulchers cut grass finer and leave very little residue on lawn when finished. They work very well and I'm very pleased with them.
