Q.	What is the biggest blade size this will handle?
A.	The length doesn't matter. The size of the center hole in the blade is a consideration. We are not aware of any outdoor power equipment with a center that's too large.

Balance any mower blade no mater what size/shape h

I have been waiting for a cheaper version to the professional blade balancer that the local lawn mower repair shop uses. This one fits the bill. I have used those cheap-o balancers that look like a little cone on a balance rod - they only work if your blade has a perfect sized center hole. I sharpen blades for my neigbors and only one of them has a blade that will fit onto that cheap-o balancer. BUT now that I have the Oregon balancer any blade center hole fits great - even those goofy ones with a x shaped center hole. Operation is easy - bolt the unit to the wall - a bit above eye level for safety reasons. Sharpen your blade as usual and then slide the collar back, hold the blade onto the cone, then slide the collar up until the magnets grip the blade. Rotate the blade to a horizontal position and let go. If one end rotates down then that side is too heavy. Remove some material from the blade and try again. This unit has some great features - all metal construction, strong magnets, and a nice smooth bearing. If you have a rider with multiple blades and sharpen them yourself than this tool is a must have.

I was unable to see where or if there was a blade stop to keep the blade from becoming jammed. Seems as the abrasive wheel would have a tendency to pull the blade into the wheel. Also I think when removing material to create a balanced one would remove material from the back of the blade on the end that the balancer showed to be heavier. How much material to be removed will be easier with repeated use. Experience is a great teacher. The magnetic wall mounted balance is a great idea.
