20 cords and running well

Definitely one of my better purchases. Due to my altitude I am probably 25% down on its sea level power. I have the 20 inch but bought a 16 inch bar as well. I can not say I notice much difference in cutting, I think the sharpness of the chain matters more. Trying to stop myself buying its big brother, you do need 2? Does not have decompression. A couple of pulls with the choke, and then switch to normal and a couple of more pulls and off she goes. The only thing that slows me down is refueling.

super saw

purchased a dcs510 makita with a 18 inch bar. went out cutting today. started out blocking up logs oak, hickory,hard maple. been selling and servicing saws for 40 years now. this makita flat out blows away any 50-55 cc saw i have ever used. easy to start,idles all day if you want it to,all kinds of power running 3/8 full chisel chain. then i switched to quartering up the blocks, could not believe how i could lean on this saw and it just kept cutting, chain stalled only once in a big hard maple knot. other than that the saw performed flawlessly from start to finish. would recomend this saw over my former all time favorite the 350 husqvarna. like the title says super saw for all round use. would not be afraid to sell this to pros for there smaller work, 20 inch diameter and under. my next review will be on my makita dcs6421big bore which is on its way as i type. check 6421 review soon. ken
