Makita Chain Mortiser
Makita's chain mortiser cuts extremely fast and accurately, and can pivot to 3 cutting positions without resetting. Comes complete with 18mm (23/32") chain, sharpening holder assembly, wrench and chain oil. Great for home owner's, yet productive enough for professional timber framers. Transporting it daily from the job site isn't grunt work either as it is extremely portable at only 37.4 lbs. with a built-in carrying handle for ease of transportation. The large adjustable vise attaches firmly onto logs 3-1/8" to 12-1/8" thick. The sliding rear clamp is adjustable to whatever your desired width should be with a quick adjust tension knob. You can plunge depths in 1/8" increments. Making sure you are on the mark as well there is a cutting ling indication plate. Need a bigger notch? No problem with the quick horizontal chain lever for widening holes.
