It's not uncommon to have screws work loose now and again. If the screws actually loosened and worked there way out of the cover, they had to be loose for quite awhile. The screws have extruded threads so that they shouldn't come out of the cover.

The higher the altitude, the more you have to lean the mixture adjustment. The thing you really need to remember is to re-adjust when you come down off the hill or you'll fry it. If you're going to feed it a steady diet of of larger cuts. 20" or 24" would be the maximum.

I've owned Homelites and Stihls(still occasionally use a 30 yr old Homie....) but wanted a new and more powerful saw for my 50th birthday. While doing some work at Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, AK. I noticed that they use Husky's for everything up there and still used a 30 yr old saw on a daily basis. Other brands just didn't "hold up" as well, I was told. So my wifie got me a 372XP w/20" bar in 2002 from Bailey's for my 50th. Unbelievable in every way! super power to weight,low vibration, easy starting and consistent; not finicky in any way, shape or form. I've not had to mess with the carb or idle or mixture at all since it was new...... over 5 yrs! The saw also regularly takes a saltwater bath while cutting beach logs. I think the saw pays for itself in low maintenance and toughness. Husy's are the saw of choice for most of my neighbors as well. Buy it, you'll like it.
