Q.	What is difference between 1/4 pitch and 3/8 pitch? How can I measure this? I have several used chains and wish to know which is which? Thanks Bill E.
A.	Greetings - Pitch is defined as the distance between 3 rivets divided by two, in other words the average distance between the rivets. Today 1/4" chain is mainly used for chainsaw carving because it is the only chain that can be used on the dime tip bars.

The Best

I do brush clearing and some tree removal on the weekends. This saw is the absolute best. I have had it for four or five years and it has not failed to start yet. It has never been in for service or repairs. I have replaced the air filter, muffler cover and bar. It turns over on the third pull whether it has been sitting for four hours or four months. I have used and abused this thing to no end. Rather than carry it down from a tree I drop it. No problems. It doesn't want to throw a chain so it comes off half way and stays that way and cuts fine there until you have time to put it right.

Excellent lightweight saw

This saw was a little slow off the mark, but after a couple of tanks of gas, it really started to show a lot more power than other saws of it's class. I've even buried it full length cutting up some 14-16" maple, and while I certainly don't recommend doing that to a little saw like this, it handled the work without complaint. Make sure the air cleaner and it's cover is screwed down tight when you get it from the factory, as mine fell off shortly after starting it up, and that could be a recipe for seriously damaging a nice little saw. Excellent balance, and solid construction for such a small saw.
