We have sold hundreds of Original Brush Grubbers and Heavy Duty Brush Grubbers. Now we're proud to add the next generation of Brush Grubber for XTREME brush and small tree pulling power! The XTREME will handle trees up to 5" in diameter. It includes large, rugged handles that allow you to easily attach it to larger brush and trees. The XTREME is constructed from heavy-duty 1" steel and includes 18 no-slip grip teeth per pad. The grip pads rotate 360 degrees and will not slip off or around brush. Use with any compact tractor (45hp or less), ATV or UTV. Great for removing Buckthorn and other invasive brush and small tree species. Q.	Will the pads with 5 teeth from the Brush Grubber XTREME Heavy Duty fit on this Xtreme model? I find that having 18 teeth is too much and that they clog up and slip off quite often. I didn't want to risk cutting some off and making the thing useless. If the 5 toothed pads don't fit; how about suggesting to the manufacturer to put out a retro-fit? I'd be first in line to buy it. I started with the little original one and have progressed yanking out larger and larger stumps. I think the Xtreme model is about as much as I would want to pack around and would appreciate it if it could hold on better.
A.	In order to create a grubber with a different pad configuration is a lot more trickier and involves testing etc. These grubbers that we do sell are produced in large quantities to exact specifications. You may want to submit your suggestion directly to the manufacturer.

The Brush Grubber work as advertised as long as the bark on the tree is not too thick and the particular wood is not soft. The gripping teeth tend to get clogged and loose their gripping ability on trees with thick bark. I attempted to remedy this by first removing the bark from the attachment area, but most of the trees I was attempting to pull are soft by nature and do not provide a stable gripping surface. This product will however work well for people who are pulling trees and shrubs that have both thin bark and firm wood.
