Big Bore Cylinder Assembly (52mm) for Stihl 044/MS 440

Complete top end for your chainsaw. This is a big bore kit which comes with an oversized cylinder and piston, which will give your chainsaw increased displacement. Cylinder assembly includes a piston, rings, piston pin, circlips and cylinder. Gaskets are sold separately. This cylinder assembly is NiSi coated for long life. The piston is Moly coated and comes with ductile iron piston rings. We recommend using a piston ring clamp set when changing cylinders. The cylinder comes tapped with deco hole. Fits the following chainsaws:

• Stihl 044* after serial number X 29 382 283, MS 440

• Replaces Part Numbers 0000 120 1654, 1128 020 1227
  

  *Older 044 chainsaws made before serial number 29 382 283 have a 10mm wrist pin. There are a few rare chainsaws that are after that serial number that also have a 10mm wrist pin. Please verify your pin size before ordering. This assembly will not fit, see part number 1128 020 1229.

Piston and cylinder kits have a 1 year warranty from date of purchase. This warranty covers this piston and cylinder kit only. Our factory does several quality control checks to ensure that these kits are made to O.E.M. specifications and components are top quality. However, because of the nature of piston kits, we cannot guarantee that replacing your chain saw piston and cylinder will solve your saw problems. Proper installation is critical, and should be done by a trained chain saw mechanic to O.E.M. specifications. Remember, 99% of all piston failures are due to operator error, which includes incorrect carburetor settings, incorrect fuel mixture or improper air filter maintenance.
