Velocity is part of the new family of 11mm lightweight climbing lines designed specifically for arborist who want to use mechanical ascenders, prusiks and split tails to get up a tree. Velocity has a 24-strand braided polyester cover with stabilized nylon core, and the rope is coated with Samson's proprietary Sure Grip technology, giving this rope a fully broken-in feel from the first time it is used. Some find the Sure Grip coating a little tacky for their liking, but most prefer the feel.
