| Q. |
Why should I spend $1,500 on a metal detector, when I can get one for less; i.e., please give me your best sales pitch? The application I plan to use this product for is to detect metal contamination in both hardwood and softwood logs/standing trees on a military installation. Your help in this matter is appreciated.

These detectors were designed specifically for what you're doing. If you're going to be the person running the mill, you're going to want something as sensitve and accurate as you can get. Here is a address where you can get some technical specs.
