| Q. |
Where in upstate New York are these boots sold so I can try them on?
|
| A. |
These boots are made for Bailey's and would have to be shipped from our warehouse. If they don't fit you can exchange them with no freight charge on the reshipment.

| Q. |
Do the Red Dawg Lites have a steel shank for spur climbing?
|
| A. |
Yes, they have a steel shank. No, they are not designed for climbing with spurs, although this application is not unheard of. If you spending any time at all in the tree with spurs we recommend a boot like item 51803 or the DURA boots.

| Q. |
Would a wax-type treatment such as Sno-Seal or an oil such as Obenauf's be recommended for this boot? Some of my boots seem to take the oil better while for most of the others the wax seems to work better. The oil doesn't seem to penetrate most of the boots I have. Is it because of the difference in the tanning? I've never used any kind of grease.
|
| A. |
It depend on the application. Generally speaking those who want maximum water protection used the wax, which seals the boots well. The oil does penetrate better and does gives some water protection. We have sold the Obenauf's for many years and it is a great product.

| Q. |
Do these boots run wide or narrow?
|
| A. |
The sizes on our Red Dawg boots run true to the corresponding shoe die. Compared to some brands that don't run true they can run larger.

I've worn lace up boots from morning to night for the past 30 years. I used to wear a similar boot (Irish Setters) made by Red Wing for years, but they were $230 and now discontinued. These Red Dawg boots are for the most part the identical boot. And they're comfortable out of the box no break in time required. I really like the Red Dawgs, I'm on my second pair now. Thank you for stocking great boots at an affordable price.
